It’s modular; you can develop whatever
configuration you like. 8’ sections end to

Some people think of floating dock for
installations in a spongy lake bottom.
That’s where floating dock is often used but
floating dock is sometimes more expensive
than stationary dock. Our Sun Spot dock is
priced comparable to ordinary dock with
unique benefits. You don’t need to get into
the water to set legs or a frame like you do
for stationary dock. If it’s a rainy spring,
your dock is never underwater. Our Sun Spot
floating dock raises with the water level.
For winter removal you just unbolt the
connector brackets and pull the dock out one
piece at a time. Our 4’ x 8’ sections weigh
about 230 lbs. so you don’t need a dock
installer with a barge to handle it. |

Easy to Install |
|
One of the hardest things to know when
planning a new dock is what the lake bottom
is like. There are few installations where
the beach is flat and the bottom gently
sloops out gradually. Some bottoms seem that
way but a few feet out you discover the
bottom drops off 3’-6’. Or there is a hole.
Or a portion of your lakefront is sandy and
firm while a few feet away it’s muck. This
is one reason many lakefront homeowners
leave the installation to professionals.
There is always something that can go wrong.
The lake bottom isn’t a consideration with
our Sun Sport floating dock. You do need a
couple of spots of good bottom for our pier
pipes but they can be installed almost
anywhere along the length of the dock. |
|
Our Competition |
|
Our competition is stationary docks which
often need to be professionally installed.
Or you figure out all the parts and pieces
and try to get it into the lake bottom
properly. Other floating docks, some of
which weigh as much as 400 lbs. per section
which isn’t a job for most homeowners. |

and discovering there is something you
didn’t consider. Again, that’s why we want
to talk with you. We have a staff of 5
customer service representatives that have
assisted in hundred of dock installations.
We can help review your needs, many
customers email or fax a layout. We are
happy to review it and send a firm written
quote. |
